We recently got an email from Lauren 'Deadly Knitshade' O'Farrell to say, "I thought, since you asked, I would shove you gently in the direction of my blog, Purl Interrupted. Shameless self promotion I know."
When she said: "I'm one of the Stitch and Bitch London Stitchettes, and take time out of running London's biggest knitting group to travel the world hunting down knitting. Or blog about knitting loveliness in my fair city of London," we knew we had to click through!
Purl Interrupted lives up to Lauren's description: the first entry we saw was an exciting tale of spreading knitting graffitti around London and quickly discovered she's just come back from a long trip to India and Nepal where she saw many lovely things and yes, even some knitting!
As knitters on the go, we knew we'd found a kindred spirit when we discovered her luggage included: "six pairs of knitting needles and more sock yarn than is healthy." With grey skies outside and rain falling, it's lovely to be able to escape to a sunnier place – even if it's only for a few minutes – and this blog will let you do just that.
Any last words from Lauren? "While I'm here I'd like to turn the spotlight on the Stitch and Bitch London blog," she told us. It's a fun site to visit – and if you're in the London area, why not get yourself down to a meeting?
Read a great blog? Write a great blog? Tell us what it is and why you like it, and you might see it here next Friday.
